Traditional or Contemporary?

Defined more by the way the furniture is constructed than what it looks like!

In a contemporary kitchen the doors are hung directly on to the cabinet using concealed hinges. We use the best ones we can find. Sprung loaded and damped to gently close the doors and easily adjustable for perfect alignment. Simple and effective.
Traditional cabinet construction relies on good old fashioned butt hinges and the doors fit into a frame, usually relying on a magnetic or ball catch for positive closing.
Much more time consuming to do but the doors will never go out of adjustment and the hinges last forever! We always use this method for traditional style furniture although, if we use a chrome hinge, a simple square door and frame with chrome handles, the effect is surprisingly modern.
